Meet Verb-

Here is a small introduction and a little bit about Verb:

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I am just a normal everyday guy that hates his job that has loved sports since I was little. I like to add humor to everything I say and write. I love all sports except the NBA but even that I could probably at least talk about if you want. Hopefully I can portray my love for sports on this blog for all of you who are reading to enjoy.

What are your favorite sports to watch?
Football, college basketball, and baseball (only in person though)

What are your favorite sports to play?
Soccer, volleyball, and football

What are some of your favorite teams?
Duke Blue Devils, SF 49ers, Texas Rangers, Washington Capitals

Who is one of your favorite players?
This one is hard because players switch teams and stuff and with Duke they come and go but Wojo was my favorite Dukie of all time.

Who is one of your least favorite players?
I hate Terrell Owens because he is an idiot and cost the Niners lots of time and effort. I also hate Barry Bonds because he is just an ass to fans (not because of the steroids).

Who is one of your favorite non-athlete sports personalities?
Tony Kornheiser because I think he is flat out hilarious.

Who is one of your least favorite non-athlete sports personalities?
Jim Rome because well, I have no good reason other than I think he is an idiot.

What is one of your favorite fan moments?
Ummmmm......Any time Duke beats North Carolina. No one thing in particular really stands out however.

What is one of your worst fan moments?
At the time Scott Norwood missed the field goal against the Giants I was a Bills fan. I cried all night.

Give us 1 good thing and 1 bad thing from the past year in sports that stands out.
The thing that stands out to me most as a good thing is Michael Phelps and his time in Beijing. INCREDIBLE! The bad thing that stands out in my mind are all the doping and steroid issues we are facing in every sport these days. The Olympics was a prime example of this.

What do you love most about sports?
The competition. That want, I guess you could call it, to be better than someone at something and having the means to prove it. Oh and sports are a lot of fun to play and watch.
