The Fed!

GM, very nice review of the weekend! I can't really argue with anything you said! Watch out for the cheeseheads in the big ten. They have 3 guys that can run!
I want to talk about the other major event that happened this week in sports. I know, nothing compares to opening weekend of football and I'm not trying to say this does either but the U.S. Open ended last night and the Man is still the Man.

I know everyone is hyped up on Rafa Nadal and as well they should be. The man is a GOD on clay and beat Fed on grass at Wimbledon. He should be number 1.

Don't sleep on Roger though. The man is the same kind of GOD on hardcourts. Especially in New York. 5 straight titles! He may be slowing down and they rest of the field may be catching up but Roger once again proved that he is still the man to beat on hardcourts and still could easily win 3 out of the 4 majors next year.
The only one that's really doubtful is the French because Rafa is so good there.

So here's to you Roger on a job well done! I never counted you out and Go get em down under!

And on the women's side, Serena didn't drop a set. That's right, didn't drop a set on her way to winning the U.S. Open for the third time and also regaining the number 1 spot in the world.

Its the first time she has been number one since late in 2003 and that sets the record for longest time in between being number 1 in the world.

Congrats Serena!

GM's Thoughts:
I personally feel like Roger just got lucky in New York this year. He ended up playing Andy Murray for the title and while he is no slouch he is surely no Nadal or Djokovic (and yes I spelled that right on my FIRST try).

I believe I actually predicted that Federer would only win 1 major this year and as it turns out I was right. And next year I will predict that he will win NONE. Sorry Roger, I am a fan but you are on the down swing and the other guys are movin up.
