He is still Young

Vince Young........what do you want to do?

That is really the only question that needs to be asked here. Does Vince want to play football anymore?

I would think that he does but the stress of being a franchise savior and hero is getting to him. And the fact that he hasn't been very good so far I think is hurting his ego. Playing in the NFL is a complete commitment that some people can't make. There are plenty of players that come into the league with high expectations and just burn out because of the pressure and the commitment that is required.

You have to feel for him though. He comes out of Texas after being a huge star and winning games basically by himself and steps into a Titans team that has many questions. They have yet to give him even an average receiver to throw to and they haven't given him a great running back. And yet he still got the team to the playoffs last year (albeit on the strength of the defense).

But if he is having issues with his desire to play than he needs to take this time off (due to injury) and think about it. Because while I haven't ever played in the NFL, I think it is pretty obvious that it takes a TOTAL commitment to play in the league. And if you don't have the desire and commitment than you better get out before it takes you over. No matter how much talent a guy has he has to be 100% committed to playing football to make it in the NFL.

But Vince is still young and is just trying to figure out what he wants to do. Lots of people Vince's age have these thoughts about their selected profession. Its just most of them are not in the public eye all the time.
