NFL Week 6

Apparently Tony Gonzalez of the Kansas City Chiefs has asked for a trade out of KC to a contender. I can hardly blame him since it appears the Chiefs are a couple years away from competing. But is he going to get his wish?

The Chiefs said they would trade him if the price is right. The trade deadline is Tuesday so there isn't a lot of time to get something done.

I have a trading partner for them. It is perfect for both teams in my opinion.

The Eagles.

Donovan McNabb is at his best when he has a healthy tight end to through to. For years it was Chad Lewis. The Eagles were very competitive when Lewis was healthy and playing because he gave McNabb a target that was always where he needed to be.

When LJ Smith is healthy he and Donovan seem to be on the same page and he is often targeted numerous times, but Smith is rarely healthy.

What can the Eagles give up?

Lito Sheppard or Sheldon Brown and if need be a 4th or 5th round pick. That should be enough I think. Or give up Smith and Sheppard for Gonzalez.

I think if the Eagles got Gonzalez than Donovan would be back in the Pro Bowl this year. And it is worth it cause Gonzalez is only 32 and should play a few more years. You know he would LOVE to play part of his career with a quarterback like Don.

So Andy Reid don't be shy. Go get Gonzalez and don't take no for an answer!

Now, let's pick the games.

I went 9-5 last week and am 34-23 on the season. Not too bad!

Chicago @ Atlanta
Baltimore @ Indianapolis
Detroit @ Minnesota
Oakland @ New Orleans
Cincinnati @ NY Jets
Carolina @ Tampa Bay
St. Louis @ Washington
Miami @ Houston
Jacksonville @ Denver
Dallas @ Arizona
Philadelphia @ San Fransisco
Green Bay @ Seattle
New England @ San Diego
NY Giants @ Cleveland

Verb's Thoughts:

Last week I went 6-8 so its becoming terribly obvious that the 14-2 week was just blind luck. Well not exactly blind, I do know a little I think, but I am obviously not that smart. Hopefully this week I can go somewhere in between the two. Its really bad when you are just picking games straight up and you lose more then you win. I am going to try to straighten that out this week so here we go:

Chicago @ Atlanta
Miami @ Houston
Baltimore @ Indianapolis
Detroit @ Minnesota
Oakland @ New Orleans
Cincinnati @ NY Jets
Carolina @ Tampa Bay
St. Louis @ Washington
Jacksonville @ Denver
Dallas @ Arizona
Philadelphia @ SF 49ers
Green Bay @ Seattle
New England @ San Diego
NY Giants @ Cleveland

That's right, even without Westbrook I picked the Eagles over my Niners. I wouldn't mind if they prove me wrong but they didn't really show me anything last week against the Patriots so I got the Eagles. I hope I get more right then wrong but that's why they play the games.
