CBS...A Little Biased?

I just got done watching the SEC Championship game on CBS and I feel like the announcing crew was rooting for Alabama.

Everytime Florida did something good it was either overlooked or dismissed. But anytime Alabama made a good tackle Verne Lundquist and, especially, Gary Danielson acted like they just saved the world.

I am not sure why they would have rather seen Alabama win considering Florida is the best team in college football and is the only team that would be able to compete with the top Big 12 teams in the National Championship. Unless it is just a matter of tradition and that Alabama carries more history with them than Florida does.

It just seemed like they were much more into the game when Alabama was doing good things and much more dismissive of Florida and their accomplishments in the game.

But it was a great game. It really did live up to the hype and honestly I thought Florida would have an easier time than they did. Alabama is a very good team with many great players.

My other opinion after watching that game is that I want Tim Tebow on any team I am coaching. I have heard that Tebow will not make a good NFL quarterback and I don't see why not. Is he going to do what Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco have done and step right in as a rookie and win, probably not. But if I have a top draft pick and a solid veteran quarterback that can play for a year or two while Tebow gets familiar with everything I would take him in an instant.

One of the most important qualities to look for in a quarterback in my opinion is leadership. The guys that have it are better in the NFL than the guys that don't. Eli Manning didn't have it until this season, Ben Roethlisberger has always had it, Peyton Manning obviously had it, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, John Elway, Joe Montana, and Troy Aikman always had it. Guys like Jeff George, Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, (in my opinion) Dante Culpepper, and Rex Grossman don't have it. Tim Tebow....he has it. He wants to win and takes a team on his shoulders better than and more often than any quarterback in recent memory.

If I am a NFL coach or general manager, I want Tim Tebow on my team.
