Okay....Now What??

I know I am a day late and probably a dollar short but I did watch the Super Bowl on Sunday and I do have an opinion on it.

I thought it was one of the better Super Bowls and football games that I have seen in a while. I am not going to say it was the best because honestly I am too young to have seen most of the Super Bowls and I am not going to pretend to know what happened in all of them.

Some people think the game was okay for 3 quarters with a good 4th quarter and I somewhat agree with that. BUT I think most football games are like that. Very few football games are great games for all 4 quarters. AND Super Bowls have so much hype to live up to that they rarely manage to do it. Everyone wants to see the best game ever but how often do we actually get to see that.

The National Championship game this season was another very good game that some people say was great and others say sucked because it isn't consistent from kickoff to final whistle. Games like that just don't exist.

If you know of a game that was amazing from opening kickoff to the final gun then you let me know cause I can't think of one. But like I said I am too young to remember them all.

I am not saying this was a great Super Bowl but I think it was an incredible game with the best catch I can remember seeing.

It wasn't the best catch or most difficult catch ever but what catch meant more??? I can't think of one. Sure Tyree's catch last season was important and amazing but they still had to score after that. I believe "the catch" from Dwight Clark was in the NFC Championship game and not the Super Bowl which makes it less important. Personally I think it was the best catch ever as far as importance and difficulty.

That's my story and I am sticking to it.

But I ask you now....

Now What???

The next big event is probably March Madness and that is a whole month and a half away.

I like college basketball but it isn't always exciting and I don't watch more than a few games each week.

I don't watch the NBA and really don't follow it at all.

I like hockey but watching regular season hockey on TV is very anti-climatic and not very interesting.

NASCAR starts soon and I enjoy it for a couple laps each week and the Daytona 500 is pretty cool but after that it is boring.

Baseball is great for spring training and opening day (week) but after that it really just sucks. By May I don't care anymore.

So really this is a pretty crappy time for sports in my opinion. It is better than the end of June through July but still there isn't much to get excited about.

What are you gonna do now?
